Winter Flying January 2012
Saturday, John Winstanley and I braved the cold weather (16 degrees) and got in some good winter flying.
Here's a video created by John Winstanley at the club contest Saturday, October 8, 2011. John used this hat cam to capture the images.
Thanks John!
ALES Contest September 18, 2011
We really had some great pilots. Jack showed up with his E-supra. Ken showed up with his Ava look alike. We had a bunch of radians that placed from 3-7. David showed up with his Brand new mini AVA that will be a great plane once he gets it dialed in. Rick came in from the Chicago club with some kind of slope soaring thing and he just could get enough height on launch to keep in the game. Larry came down from Traverse City with his radian. He came down to see how these are run so they can start some up at the club since a bunch of people have the radians.
I would say everyone did a great job today with the wind blowing all day long. I would like to say thanks to a great friend of my Nathan Mckellar who until today has never see a RC plane Fly. I called him this week and asked if he would keep score. He was on the ball all day with the score and the demands of the CD.
Please Feel free to let me know what you thought of the contest.. What we could change. Or just explain about what your day was like.
Thanks again WMSS for letting me have this at the club field..
