Winter Fun Fly - March 2011 PDF Print E-mail

Sunday March 6, 2011, several WMSS members came out on a cold but sunny day for a little electric sailplane fun. Temps about 30, light winds and lots of sun, brought out some truly remarkable winter thermals. The first flight of the day for Brian, Nate and Dennis saw flight times of over ten minutes with a less than 30 second engine run.

Thermals were readily avaialble and some flights lasted over 15 minutes. John Winstanley, Brian Walker, Nathan Schmoekel, Ben Kroes and Dennis Hoyle were all attending.
